2010 MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

Membership applications for 2010 are now available.  Make sure you renew your NFCA membership.  The Executive Board has been working hard to make NFCA your resource for fire and EMS information, training, and resources in the state of Nevada.

There are four classes of membership available, renewed on an annual basis. These include Active Paid, Volunteer, Associate and Vendor.

Renewal & New Active Paid $100.00**
Renewal & New Active Volunteer $ 35.00
Renewal & New Associate $ 35.00
Renewal & New Vendor $ 135.00

**At the NFCA General Membership meeting held November 10, 2006, the members voted unanimously to increase the dues for Paid Members from $75.00 to $100.00 effective January 2007.

DEFINITIONS:

Active membership shall include all ranks of chief officers, paid or volunteer, of any organized and legally constituted fire department in the State of Nevada or public safety personnel who are in an administrative capacity and directly associated with the fire service.

Vendor membership shall include persons, firms, and corporations engaged in the sale or manufacture of fire apparatus, equipment, devices or general fire department supplies shall be eligible for Vendor Membership upon the payment of annual dues. Such members shall be entitled to all the privileges of the Association except the right to vote or hold elective office

Associate membership shall include educators, law enforcement officers, retired chief officers with less than ten years as an Association member, and other public safety personnel. Such members shall be entitled to all the privileges of the Association except the right to vote or hold elective office

Honorary membership shall be those persons voted upon by the Association that will include, but not be limited to city, county and state officials. Such members shall be entitled to all the privileges of the Association except the right to vote or hold elective office.

Life membership shall be those persons who have had at least ten (10) years active membership status in good standing with the Association and have retired from the Fire Service.


Nevada Fire Chiefs Association holds two general membership meetings a year. They are typically scheduled in June and October.
